Practice and Advocacy Please note that the 2011 PQRIwizard is now closed. The 2012 edition of PQRIwizard is currently under construction. The anticipated launch will be later this spring. An email notification will be sent once the 2012 program is made available.
The PQRIwizard is a fast, convenient, and cost effective online tool to help collect and report quality measure data for the CMS PQRS incentive payment program. Similar to online tax preparation software, the PQRIwizard helps guide you through a few easy steps to help rapidly collect, validate, report, and submit the results to CMS for payment. The PQRIwizard is powered by the CECity Registry®, a CMS qualified registry for PQRS reporting.
Will PQRIwizard be available for 2012 reporting?
Yes, PQRIwizard will be available for 2012 reporting later this year. Note: You will be required to register for PQRIwizard 2012 reporting even if you participated in 2011. Eligible professionals who participate in PQRS for 2012 can receive an incentive payment of 0.5% of their total allowed charges for Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) covered services.*
What Is PQRS?
The Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) was developed by The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in 2007 as a voluntary reporting program that provides a financial incentive to physicians and other eligible professionals who report data on quality measures for covered services furnished to Medicare beneficiaries.
How Do I Participate?
PQRIwizard is available here. Please note registration is required to access PQRIwizard -Academy website credentials will not allow access to the PQRIwizard site.
Why Use PQRIwizard?
To report on any of these Individual Measures, you simply select three measures and report on 80% of your Medicare Part B Fee-For-Service (FFS) patients that apply to the measures you selected. You can enter the data into the registry by completing the online questionnaire OR upload the data from your existing electronic medical record system into PQRIwizard using an .XLS, .XLSX or .CSV file.
PQRIwizard has a built-in Progress Monitor that checks for missing data to validate your report. The Progress Monitor tracks your data to provide you with continuous feedback regarding valid patients. The system even calculates your measures and provides a printable report of your measure results in realtime.
Why is my participation important?
Beginning in 2015, CMS will adopt a payment adjustment as part of the PQRS program. Eligible professionals who do not satisfactorily submit PQRS quality measure data will be applied a 1.5% payment adjustment. The adjustment (98.5% of the fee schedule amount that would otherwise apply to such services) applies to covered professional services furnished by the eligible professional during 2015 or any subsequent year. The payment adjustment rises to 2% in 2016.
To avoid the 2015 payment adjustment, an eligible professional must satisfactorily report PQRS quality measure data during the 2013 reporting period (January 1, 2013 – December 21, 2013).
