In Memoriam Tributes

In Memoriam Tributes are a meaningful way to honor the memory of a loved one or colleague through gifts to the Foundation, an organization whose mission they believed in.

In Memoriam Tributes

Do gifts need to meet a specific giving level? A tribute can be a donation in a specific amount, or, it can serve as a mechanism to receive donations in his or her name. Many times, friends and families make donations to the AAO-HNS Foundation in lieu of floral arrangements.

How will donors be recognized? The Foundation will recognize your tribute to your loved one or colleague in several ways:

  • His or her name will be published on the AAO-HNSF website and on the Wall of Honor at our Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO during the year the tribute was established.

  • His or her name will be published in our news magazine, the Bulletin, read by colleagues who are Academy members.

  • A brief obituary will be published in ENeTNews, our bi-weekly news summary, read by colleagues who are Academy members.

  • Additional recognition is determined based on level of gifts received in your friend or colleagues honor.

How will your tribute be used? Tributes will support many programs provided by the AAO-HNS Foundation, at the Foundation's discretion. Or, you may choose to dedicate the tribute gifts received to one of the following programs:

  • Education
  • History and archives
  • Humanitarian aid
  • Research
  • Resident programs

Use the left navigation to learn about activities for these programs

How do I establish a tribute? Contact the Foundation. Families or individuals establishing the tribute will be notified of gifts received. The actual amount of each donor’s gift will not be disclosed. The Foundation sends thank you letters that serve as a charitable tax receipt. We will provide simple donation cards to be distributed or we will provide the information for you to include in the memorial notice or obituary.

Thank you for thinking of the Foundation. Please contact the Development staff if you are interested in establishing an In Memoriam Tribute. We look forward to helping you memorialize your loved one or colleague.
