Creating a Tribute In Honor Tributes are a meaningful way to honor a loved one or colleague through gifts to the Foundation, an organization whose mission they believe in. Do gifts need to meet a specific giving level? A tribute can be a donation in a specific amount, or, it can serve as a mechanism to receive donations in the honoree's name. Many times, friends and families make donations to the AAO-HNS Foundation in honor of a colleague's accomplishments or a special anniversary. Some examples include honoring a birthday, a promotion, passing the board examinations, committee service, or being recognized in a publication. How will donors be recognized? The Foundation will recognize your tribute to your loved one or colleague in several ways:
How will your tribute be used? Tributes will support many educational or philanthropic programs provided by the AAO-HNS Foundation, at the Foundation's discretion. Or, you may choose to dedicate your tribute gifts received to one of the following programs:

The actual amount of the donor’s gift will not be disclosed to the honoree. We will send a personalized Foundation greeting card to your honoree with information that you have given a gift in the honoree's name. The Foundation sends thank you letters to donors that serve as a charitable tax receipt. Thank you for thinking of the Foundation. Please contact the Development staff if you are interested in establishing an In Honor of Tribute. We look forward to helping you memorialize your loved one or colleague. |
